Our Story
Welcome To Tejas Kitchen Bar Patio
“I wanted to get back to a certain atmosphere I enjoyed as a kid. I grew up in the country, on horse farms, and there is something about rustic living that holds a warm appeal. Comforting, relaxing, no pretense.”
Weston has brought this vision to life in the beautifully curated space housing Tejas. Pared down to the studs, Weston personally designed and rebuilt every square inch to embody the rustic, Southwestern atmosphere of both his memories and his dreams.
During his travels over the years, Weston has collected hundreds of antique tools, furniture pieces, art, and sundry items he saw possibility in.
When word got out among friends and family that he was collecting a hodgepodge of vintage and rare, items began showing up on his doorstep. As Tejas took shape, Weston created a unique visual story woven together by items imbued with a past life all their own. Some notable features are the repurposed fireplace mantels, the vintage Ford tailgate on the wall, and the various custom light fixtures Weston made by hand using old tools and “stuff”.

From the front door to the kitchen you are treated with GREAT customer service. This is my FAVORITE brunch spot on Sunday’s. The food is absolutely delicious! I love just about everything on the menu. Nicole (the chef) puts her heart in soul in every dish! The food is always fresh & served hot!

I’ve been to Tejas several times before with phenomenal service and food. Today was different for the whole fact that the restaurant was PACKED, inside and out. I don’t think it would have been an issue, but our waitress was the only one scheduled to wait tables. My heart aches for her as she was serving 10 plus tables by herself and having to apologize to people for the wait.

Have been 3 times in the last 2 weeks. They have specials not on the menu which are outstanding..they are batting a thousand with me. Their food is awesome and service on the floor and especially the bar is excellent ..I should have been coming here.

Finally went to Tejas for brunch. The food and service was great. The environment is nice and relaxing. The have a mimosa and Bloody Mary bar where you make your own drinks.Will definitely be going back in the future!

I cannot describe how freaking perfect this place is. The atmosphere is super cute, a cute location. The patio is great and pet friendly. The service is top notch; attentive, friendly, anticipates your needs. The food. Oh. My. Gosh. We were not disappointed in a single bite. The avocado toast is packed with flavor, the bread isn't hard or chewy, a full avocado on it, so not chincy with their ingredients. The brunch burger. Perfection. It has a nice spice but is not beyond comfortable to eat. The perfect balance of all of the flavors. Yall. Do yourselves a service and go here! You will NOT regret it! Perfection! Chefs kiss!

This place is a gem in Shreveport. The best avocado toast I've ever had! You will dream about it. I've been looking at every menu in dallas trying to find anything similar to satisfy my craving and nothing compares! Sweet and super attentive staff. Great place to have brunch with kids!We were driving through town and spotted this place on our way to another location and decided to try it out. We didn't realize they were about to close and asked if they wanted us to leave. (I know, dumb question! Of course they probably did but we were exhausted from driving and not thinking!) They said no of course not and were so nice about it. We tried to be quick but didn't feel rushed At All ❤Amazing. I can't say enough good things about our experience here. Try it and you'll be as obsessed as we are

One server had to wait and bus our entire section, so service was a little slow, but not his fault, he stayed busy and was very personable. Chicken fried steak was very good, real steak, not a frozen fritter. Wide selection of unique cocktails. Overall very good. Might get 5 stars next time, unfortunately 4.5 is not an option.

Great flavor here. It's definitely something that takes a twist on some regular foods. They do have some great mixed drinks as well. My husband likes the chicken fried steak,and my son liked the guacamole appitizer.

This was our very first visit here. We weren't aware that Sundays they have brunch only. This created a problem for my SO as he is a VERY plain eater, but he branched out and tried the chorizo brunch burger. I had the breakfast brunch bowl with brisket along with the truffle fries and pepper cream. Everything was very good as well as my mimosa. We also had the mini chocolate bundt cake. So good! Will definitely revisit on another day. I hear they have the BEST chicken fried steak in town. 2 entrees, an appetizer, dessert, a mimosa and a beer and we got out for less than 50 bucks!

Hands-down one of my favorite restaurants to go to in Shreveport. They have so many Gluten-free and healthy options available. The pork rolls were especially wonderful to have as a GF person. They even have the temperature inside comfortable as opposed to most places who make it freezing. They are wonderful! The service was also amazing!

The chef who created these dishes shows a true passion and attention for the finer flavors of his menu options. The offerings are straightforward, but God is in the details. The avocado toast was curated to perfection, from the bread option, sauce , bacon and toppings. The grilled avocado brought out incredible flavor, paired with the olive oil drizzle it was a touch of love that really stood out to me. A simple chicken fingers and pancake dish was spiced up to be a slightly sweet, wonderfully savory experience that leaves you with a flavorful after bite from just the right amount of spice. I'm sure there are more incredibly thoughtful touches on all the dishes but these are the only two I could handle today. I am looking forward to our paths crossing again!Also take note that the pancakes were huge and a double order can feed four people easily. This food is best enjoyed shared with others because the portions are so hearty:) thanks so much !

Ate here for the first time on Monday evening for a private dinner and I must say the food served was absolutely delicious. I had the grilled chicken with mushroom gravy with rice and asparagus on the side. I'm not big on asparagus, but I even ate all of those off the plate!! I was VERY impressed with the quality of food and service! For dessert I had crème brûlée, which honestly I'm not a fan of because I don't care for sweets, but even that was made to perfection! I'm not sure if the food here is this good on a regular (non-special) day, but I will definitely be back again very soon, and will be adding this place to my list of regulars to dine at! Hands down one of the best places I've eaten at in the Shreveport/Bossier area!

Love the Saturday and Sunday brunch at this restaurant, they have great prices on their food and the service is always great. For dinner, the truffle fries are a must and the Patty Melt is one of the best I've have.

I read the menu posted outside while walking around. I was impressed. So, we ate there yesterday finally. I was so impressed. We ordered the grilled avocado ap. Loaded fries and a grilled shrimp salad. Excellent margaritas. Atmosphere chill, chic, and authentic. The foods was fantastic. Going this weekend for brunch. They have brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Mimosa bar. LOVE TRJAS!!

Everytime I come here, I enjoy myself!! Those Brisket nachos are to die for and those margaritas are so yummy! Also, safety protocols were being followed by all staff and they were all super friendly! Also, lots of space for social distancingSade is a wonderful server with tons of personality and awesome customer service. She took such great care of me and my mom! Thank you!!I will be back!

Food was good. Had brunch bowl that was very filling. Cheesy grits, two eggs, and ham. The best part, $3 drinks, (drink station for you to make your drink, oj, bloody Mary mix, pineapple juice, all the garnishes you can think of). Their lunch menu looked good too! Prices are very reasonable. Very nice staff! This was my first visit to Tejas and I definitely will be back!

Kim was really good on explaining the menu and recommending some dishes. Was very disappointed in the brisket chili because it looked more like chopped hamburger soup. Things turned around immensely to their favor when we got the ribeye steak. It was fabulous and I would put it up with other fine restaurants that offer ribeye steaks. Mine was done medium and perfect. I was able to cut my steak with my fork and didn't even bother looking for the knife. My wife likes her ribeye rare and it still had some moo in it. The augratin potatoes were so hot that it burned your mouth like a McDonald's coffee. After it cooled off and thickened up it was fantastic! I highly recommend this restaurant to others and we will be returning in the future.

Tejas is always amazing. If you haven't tried the Chicken Fried Steak, I highly recommend it. It is quite possibly one of the best dishes at Tejas. ALSO, they have a marvelous brunch where you can make your own mimosas and bloody marys. I absolutely love it.

The ribeye steak was perfection according to my friend and his friend to whom gave his leftovers. I had the chicken fried steak. It was pounded to paper thin which also tasted like paper but was greatly improved by the gravy. Food was reasonably priced. Waitress never smiled even though we tipped 20%.

The chicken fried steak was thin and tender with uniquely flavored delicious gravy and potatoes. The ranch dressing on the salad was also uniquely homemade. My service was not quite A-level but they were about to close so I'll forgive that. I will definitely be back when I'm in town.
